ViolaScope Track

Location tools built around the photo session.

Record where you photograph, mark places that matter and keep the resulting route available for later review or GPX exchange — without turning the app into a navigation system.

01

Record photo sessions

Start a session before you begin shooting and build a chronological route from recorded location points while the session is active.

02

Keep recording in the background

Recording is designed to continue while the iPhone is locked or ViolaScope Track is in the background, with the active session remaining visible through system status surfaces.

03

Mark photo spots

Add persistent photo spots to a session, attach notes and optionally keep a local reference photo so important locations remain easy to recognize later.

04

Review sessions and routes

Finished sessions stay available in history with their route, recorded details and photo spots, so the geographic context can be checked before export.

05

Export standard GPX

Export recorded sessions as standard GPX 1.1. Photo spots are represented as regular GPX waypoints so the file remains useful outside ViolaScope Track.

06

Import GPX routes

Import existing GPX routes, view them on the map and use your current position for spatial orientation along the route — without turn-by-turn navigation or automatic rerouting.

A route companion, not a navigation app.

ViolaScope Track keeps recording, photo spots and GPX exchange focused on the photographic workflow. It does not calculate routes, snap tracks to roads or replace unknown location data with invented movement.
